Web 2.0, a mile stone in web technologies of web design

Web is a network, where information is provided to all users, who are connected to internet, traditionally web 1.0 was the standard followed, which is simplified broadcasting of information.
The legacy website will just store piece of information, statically display the information whenever they are called by URL. Mostly HTML was used to help the interaction between browser and Hosted files.
Web 2.0 as a standard does more than just displaying a website, few common features to say
1.Using database to store and retrieve the information
2.Facilitate users to talk to the website
3.Enables dynamic behavior, of answering to user based on their input
4.Integration of variety of technology to provide on solution (e.g. Online banking)

The next generation websites will be more powerful , to reduce the gap between a end user and webmaster. Content management software and readymade installation scripts , adding confidence to a common man to feel anyone can own and enrich their own web space.
