Site map is one which consists of number of web pages. The site map is a document used as an essential tool for web design, or a web page which lists the pages on a web site and site map is organized in an order. Normally, when user visit a site, the site map will help the user to find the pages of a particular site. Visitors of a website can easily go through the particular site using the site map created for the web site. The site map automatically helps the visitors and search engine to find pages on the site.
Even though some developers insists that the site index is very essential to index our page in the search engine search results. Now a days Website visitors are more familiar with site maps. When a visitor visits a site, the site map helps the visitor to find details present in the site from which the visitor will select an appropriate detail he/she wants to get it from the search.
The Xml document is often used to create site maps. The xml is a document structure and encoding standard used, amongst many other things, as the standard for web crawlers to find and parse sitemaps. Site maps helps to improve search engine optimization of a site by make sure that all the pages can be found. The site map is very essential if a site uses a dynamic access to content such as Adobe designing tools like flash or JavaScript menus that do not include html links.
xml Sitemap submission:
In the beginning the most popular search engine Google introduced the Google site maps. The web developers takes many links (list of links ) from their site. The visitor clicks particular site
to visit, the site map created for the site helps the visitor what actually the visitor looking for? The Sitemap files are used to tell the web crawlers how such pages can be found. All leading
search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN supports the Sitemaps protocol.
Even though all leading search engines using the same protocol, the Sitemap helps all the search
Engines to have all the latest newly updated page information. A Sitemap is the best insurance for getting a search engine to know the details about your complete site.
xml Sitemaps have replaced the former tool of "submitting to search engines" by fill up the form sheet present in the search engine's submission page. Today the web application developers submitting the site map for their site directly. It is easy for search engine to crawl the site using sitemap created for the site. Now a days many automated xml site map generators available both as software and web applications for more complex websites.
The robots.txt which can be used to identify sitemaps on the server. The robots.txt is very essential seo tool to tell the search engine like Google, Yahoo and MSN whether to allow the visitors to our site or not.
