Installing Word Press By Ashokrajan Balakrishnan How do we install Word Press? We are getting to the core and bore of all of this stuff. Now let you finished the Word Press download to your Local disk and a Webhosting is ready for hosting it, on that time we will start worrying about, how I am going to finish this installation in to the server. Before we getting started the process, let’s make sure that you have these things ready: ● Verify that you have access for My-SQL thru Your Control panel. ● Verify that you have a FTP client handy for Uploading and Downloading. ● Verify that you have a paper and pen ready with you to take note about you’re my-SQL database and user information and password. Fortunately many people found the easy 5 minutes installation of the Word press will do the rest. I have described this in a little bit so if you want to get a brief detail please visit Word Press website. 1. Download the file in website and the zip file should be unzipped. 2. Generate a database for Wordpress on your web server, with a MySQL client who has all rights for accessing and modifying the file. 3. You have to rename wp-config-sample.php file as wp-config.php. 4. Next you should open wp-config.php in your preferred text editor and fill up it in your database information. 5. Then you have to place the Wordpress files in the desired setting on your web server. If you need it to show under the major domain name, then drop all the content within the wordpress folder inside your public_html folder. 6. Now just run the wordpress script installed by accessing your domain. Wp-admin/install.php in any of your web browsers. If it’s installed in wordpress in root directory, you have to visit: http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php There you can find it; meanwhile the wordpress must be installed properly. If we encountered any problem, you have to first check for errors in your wp-config.php file. Be assured that you got the database name and the username in the right place. We often get these things confused. And also you have to put a prefix before the name as followed: username_databasename in the file as well. While we setup the MySQL database that must tell you the exact names. You have to just copy it from the source as they are visible to your Wordpress installed and it should be alright.
