Back link is an incoming link to our web site. Back links are of two types one is link from other sites to our site are called as incoming links to a website or web page. The second type is Inbound links . The inbound links are we are taking links from our own sites both the links are very important and also to the emergence of search engines as a most important means of web navigation. Now a days the back links playing key role in search engine optimization technique. The maximum number of back links and inbound links is the indication of the popularity of the site or the importance of the website or a web page. Obviously it is used by search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. Google rank our website on the basis of backlinks, number of inbound links and the maximum number of hits.(more number of visitors who visit our web site
Or web page (for example, this is used by Google to determine the page rank of a webpage). Apart from seo, the backlinks of a web page is of significant role played. It shows who is playing more attention to our page and also whether the visitors read our page carefully or quit the page immediately after visiting the site. The major search engines like Google allots bounds rate to the sites based on the visitors residing time in our site.
In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web node (web page, directory, website, or top level domain) from another web node . Backlinks have other names such as incoming links, inbound links,inlinks(link in the page itself), and inward links.
Search engine rankings:
Search engines most importantly Google considers various factors for ranking the Websites. It involves many techniques called search engine optimization is an abbreviation for SEO.In order to increase the number of backlinks pointing to their website will increase the page rank . Some websites stumble upon "link baiting" naturally; the sites that are the first with a tidbit of 'breaking news' about a celebrity are good examples of that. When "linkbait" happens, many websites will link to the 'baiting' website because there is information there that is of extreme interest to a large number of people. Some attractive titles naturally captures the more number of viewers to our site.
There are many factors that calculate the value of a backlink. Backlinks from authoritative sites on a given topic will bring many visitors to our site. If both sites have content geared toward the keyword topic, the backlink is considered relevant and believed to have strong influence on the search engine rankings of the webpage granted the backlink. Another important factor is the anchor text of the backlink. Anchor text is the descriptive labeling of the hyperlink as it appears on a webpage.
Backlinks usually helps increase the number of visitors to our site from various other sites will automatically increase the traffic in our site.
